I'm Tim Street. I've been riding e-bikes for about six years, on a pair of Pedegos, mostly on the trails around Florida's Gulf Coast. I'm also a photographer, which means I stop a lot. Somewhere along the way the stopping became as much the point as the riding.
That's where the name comes from. Pedal for a while. Pause for lunch, a cold drink or a picture of the light coming through the oaks. Then pedal some more.
Who this is for
Riders 55 and up, mostly in Florida. People who are buying their first e-bike or their third. People thinking about a trike, a recumbent or a way to bring the dog along. People who want to know whether a rack will actually fit their car before they spend the money.
A lot of e-bike coverage is written for 25-year-old commuters. That's fine, but it's not us.
How we work
- We check the source. When we cite a law, a trail length or a rule, we link to where it came from, and we tell you when sources disagree.
- We only send you to stops we've visited. If we haven't been there yet, we'll say so.
- We date our facts. Rules and trail conditions change. Every guide shows when it was last checked.
- We'll tell you if we make money. Down the road this site may earn from ads or affiliate links. If it does, we'll say so on the page, and it won't change what we recommend.
Got a trail or a lunch spot?
The best tips on this site will come from riders who've already been there. If there's a trail, a stop or a piece of gear you think deserves a closer look, we want to hear about it.
